Use the “Contact” button below to request an initial phone session. This is an opportunity for both the caregiver and the OT to discuss how your child is functioning in daily life and whether Occupational Therapy services could be helpful.
The initial Occupational Therapy appointments will focus on setting goals, evaluating your child’s skills in goal areas and determining a treatment schedule. These sessions can be booked in your home, at your child's daycare/school or via videoconferencing.
Treatment sessions will focus on building skills and adapting tasks to help your child experience success in goal areas. A combination of parent coaching and fun and purposeful play activities will be used to help your child learn new skills. Caregivers will also be given home practice programs to help support their child’s progress between OT sessions. Treatment sessions can be booked in your home, at your child's daycare/school or via videoconferencing.
All Occupational Therapy treatment plans will be goal based. Once goals are achieved your family may want to take time to solidify your child’s new skills or focus on other areas of learning. If additional OT goals are identified then a new treatment plan may be created, and additional OT treatment sessions booked.
